Natcom 2006 was hosted by Pune Branch in Hotel Le Meridien.
Mr. Abhay Firodia, CMD, Force Motor Ltd. was the Chief Guest for the event, gave an excellent motivating speech
on ROBUSTNESS.
Dr. Albert Hieronimus, MD, MICO BOSCH, Bangalore was present at the inauguration and he personally received
Corporate Excellence Award given to MICO BOSCH, Bangalore.
Chief Executive of the Year award (Public Sector) was conferred on Mr. Ashok Baweja, Chairman, Hindustan
Aeronautics Ltd., Bangalore.
Chief Executive of the Year award (Private Sector) was conferred on Mr. Baba Kalyani-CMD of Bharat Forge, Pune.
He had personally come to receive the award and gave an excellent presentation on aggressiveness.
Natcom 2006 was a grand event with over 400 delegates from across the industry and the technical sessions were
quite stimulating.
New IIMM Tie was launched at Natcom 2006.
Inauguration of the new course SCM Retail Management was done at Natcom 2006. Mr. Gibson G. Vedamani, CEO of
Retailers Association of India in a grand way.
At the valedictory function, Mr. A.K. Sharma our Past President and also Past President of IFPSM wrapped the
whole event in an excellent summarized form. The excellent presentation by Mrs. Holly L. Johnson, Senior Vice
President & Corporate Secretary of ISM, USA was quite informative.
The various technical sessions on knowledge management, performance measurement, product innovation, technology
management, and mass customization were quite interesting and thought provoking.
The technical session on technology adoption, information and transformation and also on disruption and disaster
management were quite informative.
Over all, Natcom 2006 was a grand event, with international flavour and Pune Branch team demonstrated an excellent
team work.
